Today we went to a famous spot in Fuzhou called Three Lanes Seven Alleys. We went with some of our big sisters from Hwa Nan Women's College. It was very exciting because there were so many shops and interesting things to see. My big sister, Ellen, helped me bargain with the shopkeepers. It was so different from what I am used to. I really enjoyed spending time with the college students and learning more about Fuzhou.
This is a picture of one of the ponds at the museum we visited. It was the house of Lin Zexu, an important man who helped to stop drug trading.
Mabel and I are gesturing to a sign at Three Lanes Seven Alleys.
One of the prominent items in Fuzhou are combs that are made from horns. It is supposed to be something that is very feminine. My big sister told me a lot about them and helped me pick some out.
I bought the same comb.
