Reading to the Little Kids. Oh so cute!

Angela and I have been assigned to the youngest age group of the kids that came in. Yay! This was one of the things that I looked forward to the most on this trip. We read "Team UmiZoomi; Find the Dinosaurs!" and "Toy Story" to them. We were both grateful for one of the mothers who was asked to help us. She enthusiastically translated the stories for us and had the kids participate. Although the children could barely understand what we were saying, they knew their colors and how to count in English pretty well. I was impressed by how well they were able to participate. It was an overall success.

Before the kids left, we gave them goody bags full of snacks and paper Jack-o-lanterns that we have made the morning of. Mrs. Normand went out and bought candy to tape to the back of them. They all came out really nice. The kids loved it. They were all very polite and replied with the cutest "thank you" I have ever heard.

The older kids got pins.
