Hiking and Bamboo Rafting at Wu Yi Mountain

I thought the 7 hour train ride to Wu Yi Mountain was worth the trip. The hiking was quite tiring, but the scenery was beautiful. You had to be there! It definitely beats the hikes we have back at home. The sun was out, but the air was cool. It was quite an adventure.

We came across many interesting people while bamboo rafting, such as two boys from France who spoke Chinese really well. People were friendly and we shared smiles and greetings as our rafts bumped into each other. Everyone, both old and young, had a great time on the relaxing trip on the bamboo rafts.

  1. My mother country is so close to China but I have never been to China. This is something I would like to see in China if I traveled there! I love to see countryside of China and 桂林 is one of the destinations I would like to go.
